Home Sweet Home

We arrived home save and sound. And of course, Marlee has to empty ALL of the toy baskets to make sure that every single toy and book is still there!?
And now that Josie can get around, it was as equally fun for her :)

Visit to Utah

We decided to stop by and visit family and friends in Utah before we headed home from Colorado. We stayed with Mike, Michala and Evie. Ivan and Mike got to go to a BYU football scrimmage. We stopped by Nicole and Shawn's for a little while and of course Nicole let Marlee play with her and do makeup! So much fun. For those of you who know, Nicole has TONS of makeup, brushes, etc. So it was pure heaven for Marlee.

Horse Drive

Ivan's brother, Collin, has about 50 horses. They needed to move them from one field to another field. It was probably about 3 miles apart.? So Collin, Ivan, Joe (cousin), Tim (uncle)
and Ashley (cousin) all saddled up to move the horses.
We were able to meet up with them at the end of it and watch the action of moving
al' them horses! (Jen was kind enough to take these pictures for us)

Attempted cousin photo shoot

Why is it so stinking hard to get a decent shot of five little kids, because they are kids :)
We went to play at an elementary school and wanted to get a photo of all of the kids. I don't know why we were so hopeful, kids needed naps, others needed to eat. Maybe when they are older and can sit still for more than one minute?

Two week vacation in Colorado

I think this might have been Marlee's first time on a horse.
Marlee was a little skeptical about going on the home made slip and slide. She did however enjoy watching her second cousin Dallin. She preferred jumping on the trampoline.

There is a lake at the bottom of the hill by Grandpas house and Ivan decided that after he had spent an entire week working, it was time to play! He entertained us all by jumping in the lake!

Bobbi and Amanda were working cleaning Amanda's house, so I got the opportunity to watch all five kiddos and found that being outside and feeding them graham crackers was the best way to keep them happy and entertained.

We love that Mabel would share her toys/horse with the kids, it made our life easier
Marlee learned how to climb out of her pack-n-play the first night in Colorado. She didn't get the best sleep or naps while there, but a few of the nights she would grab her cow and blanket and rock herself to sleep.

Enjoying another fun day outside

Visiting with Granpa Lanier (great grandpa to the girls)
I have peach juices

The long eight hour drive FINALLY wore out the kiddos
One of the mornings, we finally got the girls to take a nap. So, we asked Merlene if we
could leave them with her while she canned peaches and to call us if any of them wake up. We were making great progress on unpacking and after a LONG time I decided to go back to
get something to eat and Merlene had the girls happily entertained in the highchairs
while she continued to can peaches.

Josie wearing Daddy's hat

There was a fox hanging out by the house late one night. Ivan took the kids out to see it and of course it was all they talked about that night.

I'm sure I've missed some of the other enjoyable things we did, but between three different cameras, I am exhausted! We had a fun time!

Sleeping Beauties

Without fail, every Sunday, when we get out of church and into the car (at 5:00pm) the girls are exhausted and fall asleep. They look so peaceful.

Peaches

I picked peaches, canned 'em and made homemade jam for the first time! Truly enjoying the fruits of my labor :) Big thanks to Merlene, Ashley and Ivan for making it possible.
